Muzeul tehnic Dimitrie Leonida - Bucuresti

The museum was founded in 1909 by engineer Dimitri Leonida (1883 - 1965) with the model of the Munich Technical Museum (1903), visited Leonida during studies conducted at the Polytechnic of Charlottenburg (1903 - 1908), near Berlin. In 1908 Dimitri Leonida builds the first school of electricians and mechanics in Romania. With his students, the teacher Leonida raised the first pieces that will constitute the nucleus future museum (1909). What this museum different from others is the same character or pronounced baseball, the founder of wanting to be a school of schools, where anyone can see or act illustrates the mechanisms that laws mechanics, electricity and magnetism. In 1928 the museum was held in one of the pavilions in the park Carol I, and since 1935 in the current building.
